"When Delphine came to West Company she had a lot of great ideas, but there was one in particular that really caught me, her Ultra Pure Breast Cream," says Women's Business Center Director, Heather Gurewitz.  As a certified herbalist, yoga instructor, and health counselor, Delphine Davidson has a vast amount of knowledge about traditional herbal remedies.  With a passion for health and the healing properties of medicinal herbs, she has launched her new business; Days Pharm Therapeutic Botanicals, specializing in pure and natural herbal products.  Her first product, is Ultra Pure Breast Cream.  Originally, Lymph and Lifting Cream, the product is inspired by women who are concerned about their breast health.  Ultra Pure contains herbs that have traditionally been used to cleanse the lymphatic system, and possibly reducing the risk of breast cancer.

"When I was training to be an herbalist, my favorite part was making the creams.  The science behind the healing properties in the ingredients, and the emulsification factor in using only natural and pure products were some of my biggest challenges," says Davdison.  While Delphine can't make any medical claims about her products, she uses herbs that have been proven."Your lymphatic system is intricate and delicate, and when your lymphatic system is clean, eyes shine brighter, your skin is clearer, and you are all around healthier."

While Davidson has expertise in the healing field and running her own business was her ultimate goal, there were a lot of questions that she had.  Delphine first came to West Company slightly overwhelmed by her ideas and not knowing exactly where to start.  She worked with the Gurewitz to focus on a strategy to make her business successful.  Starting with a feasibility study, Davidson developed a business plan, financial projections, and a marketing strategy.  "It has been a really inspiring process working with Delphine.  She has not only created a unique product that can help women have better health, but has also followed through with an idea and turned it into a business, which is not an easy thing to do," commented Gurewitz.
